If you are German or hold another EU passport, there are special conditions that mean your tuition fees are cheaper than for other international students. The current £ sterling / Euro exchange rate means that you get even better value for money.
1. Study Semester Abroad / Study Year Abroad
2 August 2008 - January 2009. Fees: EU £2,245*
*English Language Summer Course (4 weeks + Semester)
13 September 2008 - June 2009: Fees: EU: £1,370
24 January 2009 - June 2009: Fees: EU: £685

During the semester(s) or year of academic studies you study English intensively in areas such as:
- Conversation
- Listening and Note taking
- Presentations
- Academic writing
- Grammar
- Reading
An end of course English exam and a programme of social events are included in the study costs.
You also follow a programme of modules from the University’s 10 academic schools:
- Computing and Information Technology
- Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences
- Sport, Performing Arts and Leisure
- Engineering and the Built Environment
- Education
- Art and Design
- Wolverhampton Business School

The University can advise you on your choice of modules.
You can gain credits under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) which can be transferred to a German university.
Your English language level should be Common European Framework level B2, C1, C2 or equivalent, e.g. TOEFL or IELTS (minimum 6.0).
2. English Language Summer Courses for all language levels
- 5 July - 1 August 2008 (£920 - 4 weeks)
- 5 July - 18 July 2008 (£470 - 2 weeks)
- 2 August - 29 August 2008 (£920 - 4 weeks)
- 2 August - 15 August 2008 (£470 - 2 weeks)

Total of 20 hours x 60 minutes per week of University teaching in small groups (maximum 16) + homework and out-of-class assignments.
15 hours x 60 minutes per week cover areas such as:
- Conversation
- Listening and note taking
- Presentations
- Writing
- Grammar
- Reading
- Vocabulary
You choose from a number of options for the other 5 hours x 60 minutes, for example:
- Academic Reading
- Academic Writing
- Business English
- Information Technology
- International Relations
- International Law
The university is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English and is an English UK member.
During your time at the University, you have full use of the University’s state-of-the-art facilities and the study costs include an excursion and social programme. These may include visiting places such as:
